  • 🎯 Mission

Design and develop a digital platform to centralize all project documents, subcontractor information, and validation workflows required to generate a complete Project Close-Out Manual — the final deliverable that unlocks the last phase of project acceptance and payment.

  • 🎖️ Result

A comprehensive web application that helps project teams collect, validate, and organize all end-of-project documents in one place — automatically generating the final Project Close-Out Manual and laying the foundation for a scalable, market-ready SaaS product.

Context & Challenge

Groupe DCR, a major player in the Québec construction industry, delivers large-scale infrastructure and building projects that must meet strict documentation and compliance requirements.

At the end of each project, DCR must produce a Project Close-Out Manual — a single, extensive PDF compiling all validated documents from subcontractors, including plans, test results, certificates, and warranties.
This deliverable is both contractual and essential: its submission confirms project completion and triggers the release of the final 10 % payment.

However, producing the manual was a long and error-prone process. Project managers had to track dozens of subcontractors, receive files through multiple channels, verify each one manually, and assemble everything into a consistent structure. The workflow was fragmented, with limited visibility on document status and progress — leading to delays and unnecessary stress at project close-out.

Our Approach

To address these challenges, Beslogic partnered with DCR to create DocRevo — an intelligent, AI-assisted platform that manages every stage of the close-out documentation process, from document organization to the automatic generation of the final manual.

DocRevo provides project managers with all the tools they need in one place:

  • Document management: A centralized repository structured according to the official sections of the Project Close-Out Manual.
  • Subcontractor management: Centralized tracking of subcontractors and their deliverables, allowing project managers to organize received documents, link them to the right contributors, and monitor progress and compliance throughout the project.
  • Validation workflow: A clear, step-by-step approval process with visual indicators for missing, pending, or validated files.
  • Automated generation: Once approved, all documents are compiled automatically into the final Project Close-Out Manual — complete with bookmarks, a dynamic table of contents, and a professional layout.

Designed for clarity, control, and automation, DocRevo gives DCR’s project teams real-time visibility over document readiness and drastically reduces manual administrative effort.

From Internal Tool to Market-Ready Product

While DocRevo was first developed to improve DCR’s internal efficiency, the company quickly recognized its broader potential. Many other construction firms face the same administrative bottlenecks — scattered documentation, endless email exchanges, and late project handovers.

With this insight, Beslogic helped DCR transform DocRevo into a standalone, branded product with its own identity, positioning, and commercialization roadmap.
Today, DocRevo is a scalable and configurable platform that can be deployed for other construction companies seeking to modernize and standardize their close-out documentation processes.

Impact

DocRevo has become a cornerstone of DCR’s digital transformation:

  • Reduced manual workload and eliminated redundant communication loops.
  • Simplified tracking of subcontractor deliverables.
  • Improved document traceability, compliance, and version control.
  • Generated complete Project Close-Out Manuals in hours instead of days.
  • Created new business opportunities through product commercialization.

By turning a recurring operational pain point into an intelligent, marketable software solution, Groupe DCR not only optimized its own workflows but also positioned itself as a digital innovator in the construction industry.
